For a thousand reasons is a campaign launched by Fundación ONCE to inform and encourage people with disabilities to make use of Portalento (portalento.es), a portal that provides guidance, training and support to increase the access of those living with disabilities to quality employment while raising awareness among employers and entrepreneurs of the site as a tool to help them find suitable employees. This campaign is co-financed by the European Social Fund.
The award ceremony for the 2nd European Award for Social Entrepreneurship and Disability: Promoting Social Investment will take place 1 July in Brussels and will be hosted by the European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs, Skills and Labour Mobility, Marianne Thyssen.
The aim of this Award, launched by Fundación ONCE within the framework of the European Network for CSR and Disabiltiy, an initiative co-funded by the European Social Fund, is to identify and promote social entrepreneurship projects and to contribute to giving people with disabilities a leading role in the European model for sustainable economic growth.
The ceremony will be held at Philanthropy House and registration will take place between 17:30-17:50.

The project was founded in 2007 by ANFFAS Onlus of Lucca, in partnership with its social cooperatives (Cose Persone, Progetto Lavoro).
The project has the support of a range of public and private organisations, including Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lucca.
